Katja Abbot

After completing a Diploma in Graphic Design Katja worked for many years in the publishing industry. In 2015, to fulfill her desire to engage in hands-on art-making, she embarked on a Bachelors's Degree in Visual Arts through UNISA.

With a fascination for what goes on below the surface, Katja delves into the world that exists in the dreamtime, on the periphery of our reason and vision. Spontaneously the creatures that inhabit this dark and silent realm emerge and reveal themselves in her art.
