Adrian Kohler

Adrian Kohler is the co-founder (with Basil Jones) and Artistic Director of Handspring Puppet Company.
Kohler completed a BA in Fine Art at the University of Cape Town.

Kohler moved to Botswana to run the National Popular theatre Programme for three years. His puppets for Handspring
are held in public and private collections including the Constitutional Court in South Africa, the Munich Stadtmuseum
in Germany, and the Old Mutual Art Collection. Aunty Betty is part of a series of etching, linocut and lithographs
in collaboration with Artist Proof Studio. This series depict many of the world’s most famous puppets
designed by Handspring Puppet Company.
